I just checked out the Katherine, NT area on Google, and like all of Australia, it's absolutely beautiful! Bet there's Yowies up there too. Best of luck on the job! What a wonderful place to live.

I used to live in a little town in far north west , new south wales , ( COOLABAH ) I remember one January it was 53 degrees celcius on my verandah in the shade during one afternoon , it was so hot that the windscreen wipers on my car melted and stuck to the wind screen and inside the little house in which I lived the candles I had on the coffe table were reduced to a puddle .

But in true Australian fashion I remidied the situation by going to the PUB at least they had airconditioning and COLD beer mmmmmmmmm beer I love my beer , I think Ile have one right now .. cheers .

Cheers to you, Al, and I hope you drink dark draft beer from a barrel at your pub. That was my favorite drink when I was young. Now I don't drink--for the last 25 years or so, I get sick and nauseated if I drink beer or anything else. It's just heaven getting old! So if they sell dark draft beer there, just drink one for me, LOL!
